The Calling Lakes Planning District is full of places to see and things to do. The District has a large amount of cultural and historical features that are celebrated locally and recognized from afar. The District is located within the Qu’Appelle Valley in the south-eastern part of the Province, approximately 70 km north east of the City of Regina.
Cultural activities include those related to the arts such as the summer art festival, local artist’s guild and pottery. The First Nations and Metis history in the area is also celebrated through events and by recognizing landmarks where historical events occurred. As an active farmer’s market community the people from the District are able to showcase local enthusiasm about the products of the Valley.
